80-96 coil springs on a 78

So I have a 1978 f150 ranger 35s the front end has a sag too it or it was never lifted not really sure.. the question is I have some old 6 inch lift coil springs for a I beam 80-96 f150 I was wondering if anyone knew if they would fit on my 78
Thanks in advance
Steven

They'll fit, but you'll end up with a rough ride, they're a stiffer spring designed for the TTB front end because of the lever action of the beam. Solid axle springs are softer

Thanks for the info I don't want that do you know of anywhere that I can find the springs in the size I need or maybe spacers for a temp fix

Check your local auto parts stores. They aren't as expensive as people think.

Do you think that if I got the same springs I have would it do away with the sagbin the front

It depends on how much yours has sagged. You can get springs for an A/C equipped truck and gain a bit of additional lift. I did that on my orange 78 in my Avatar. Don't remember however if the springs were done when I took that picture.

Yeah I need to post a pic and show yall but don't have one right this sec it just annoys me that it's 4x4 and the front end sags

You can actually get a set of heavy duty springs for the front end that are a little stiffer. Cost less than $100 shipped from rockauto. (Last year they were)

IIRC, mine were Supercab A/C springs which were heavier than my original regular cab non A/C springs.

F-150 4x4 Supercabs had leaf sprung front ends

Well the rear end has two blocks on each side but I don't know if the coil springs are the stock length or if they are longer

I would suggest removing the aftermarket block on rear.

If I do that the 35s might not clear the bed
