Front End Noise
Hello;
I have a 91 F350 2WD and I have an annoying and load front end rattle as I drive down the road. I have tried raising the front by the frame and by the I beam but I cannot locate the problem. I changed the wheel bearings. The noise goes away when I put the brakes on. I am thinking strut bushings or I beam bushings; what do you think? |
Well there is no such thing as strut bushings on these trucks. My Money would be on the I beam pivot bushings or radius arm bushings.
|
Check the calipers and pads for play. When you hit the brakes, they tighten up against the rotor, stopping the rattle.
Hope this helps... |
Thanks; "radius arm" is what I was talking about, on my car they face the other direction.
I did replace the rotors and pads and did check the anti-rattle clip to make sure it was in good shape. is it difficult to replace those bushings? |
ohh that was a big fail let me see if i can get that deleted
|
Uh no, looks nutin like that...ha ha
