Front End Noise

Hello;

I have a 91 F350 2WD and I have an annoying and load front end rattle as I drive down the road. I have tried raising the front by the frame and by the I beam but I cannot locate the problem. I changed the wheel bearings. The noise goes away when I put the brakes on. I am thinking strut bushings or I beam bushings; what do you think?

Well there is no such thing as strut bushings on these trucks. My Money would be on the I beam pivot bushings or radius arm bushings.

Check the calipers and pads for play. When you hit the brakes, they tighten up against the rotor, stopping the rattle.
Hope this helps...

Thanks; "radius arm" is what I was talking about, on my car they face the other direction.

I did replace the rotors and pads and did check the anti-rattle clip to make sure it was in good shape.

is it difficult to replace those bushings?
