67 fuel pump problem?

I just bought a '67 F100 with a 352 and auto tranny. I had to put a new fuel line from the fuel pump to the carb on it. I also put in an in-line fuel filter. The truck was empty so I put 2 gallons in the gas tank. I pumped the gas pedal several time and still haven't gotten any fuel into the fuel filter. The truck has set empty for a while. I has going to take the fuel line loose from the carb and blow air back through to the gas tank to see if there was any blockage. Do you guys think i might need to fick up a new fuel pump?

You can sit there and pump the gas petal for the next 1000 years and you won't get any gas to the carb. Cranking the engine with the starter is what does that.

I have tried that too, still no gas.

Try removing the tank side line at the fuel pump, remove the filler cap and blow compressed air through the line to see if gas will start flowing. Reconnect, then see if it will pump gas up to the carb.

You can also put some gas in a empty water or pop bottle and pour a couple swallows into the carb to see if it will fire and start pumping gas.

Replace the fuel filter located under the fuel pump first, then replace the pump if needed.

You can try taking the pump off and hand pump the lever on the pump to see if it does anything, then check the lines from the tank to pump
