WTS light flashing, turns over but no start.
 

I am new on here so thanks for any help. I have a 97 F250 that the WTS light is flashing, relays 1 and 2 are clicking along with what appears to be a solenoid by the fuel filter, turns over, has oil pressure and tach but no start. I have checked the fuses, relays, fuel heater wire and charged the batteries. I think it might be my PCM as the truck ran fine until I plugged in my programmer (edge evolution) to change it for pulling the RV. The program went fine but when I tried to start it the problems began, it can't find my PCM to reprogram. Any ideas?

i defiantly sounds like it got fried if it was all well untill messing with the program on the PCM. you could try and get it reflashed by a dealer or you might need to replace it.

I just read that link before posting, should have known better than trying to save money and got the real thing to start with. Any idea if a new PCM has to be flashed for the 97? No close dealers around me and would cost more to get it towed than for a new PCM.

not sure on the needing programmed, they should come loaded to whatever pcm code it is. maybe someone else will chime in on that

PCM comes with the programing, try car-parts.com for a used PCM for ALOT less money than a new one. I have found several thru them and all have been good ones. Just don't buy a used that looks like it's been wet.

Contact edge and tell them the issue. Sometime they'll send you something to reflash your PCM back to stock. Worth a try.

Called Edge today as my work schedule didn't allow me to get hold of them earlier this week and they are sending me a stock program and a new programmer that should be here tomorrow. Seems like they stand behind there products and were happy to help, just hope it fixes the problem.

Got the stock program and new programmer today and the truck is running again.
