Which wire controls dash light brightness

I know this question has been asked and answered here before, and I dont want to offend, but I have been searching for hours.

My small problem. I installed a great gauge from GlowShift to monitor EGT, radiator outflow temp and boost pressure. Very very pleased with the 3 in one setup. Ok problem is the gauge face light is kinda bright when I'm running in the dark. There is an optional wire setup to allow dimming of the display on the gauge. I know I've seen it here before, but I really need to know the color and best location of the wire to tap into that will allow the gauge to be dimmed. I remember seeing a photo, and remember the wire is above the fuel pedal.

Everything else about the truck is 100% ok thanks to stuff ive learned on this site.

Any help will come with a big thanks

Blue with a red trace on my 07. I used a dead-head connector behind the dash cover; power rear window harness I think, but the wire should be in the connector behind any dash switch that dims with the headlights.

Found the wire as described but im still hooped

Guess the GlowShift gauge set I bought is resistant to being dimmed through the dash light dim method. I found the blue wire with red stripe directly behind the dimmer wheel. Tapped in and connected to the orange wire. The factory instructions called for the orange wire to be connected to a dimmable 12volt. No way would it work. Called Glow Shift tech support and he seemed to say I had to hook the orange wire to the low beam headlights?????? DUH. The gauge would drop about 30% when I switched to low beams. WHAAAAT! If the gauge is so bright as to be annoying in the pitch black night when I dim my dash gauges, why would I want to go on low beam headlights so I can have comfort???? Makes no sense to me either.

Anyone else use this gauge? And were you able to make it dim?
