2008 6.4 high idle mod, how do I do it?

I just bought a 2008 made 1/08 CC LB 4x4 F350 Lariat with the 6.4.

I do a LOT of idling in the summer and winter. Sometimes for hours at a time in the summer.

I know these engines don't really like to idle for extended periods of time, so I'm looking for a high idle mod and other ways to make it more idle friendly??

Truck is stock currently....

Which way is that? No sure how you would do it without a switch.

simple.. just wire a hot lead to the high idle wire. no switch..

it doesn't take effect until you put on the parking brake anyhow..

yeh.. I didn't add that cause it would be sorta dumb to have the parking brake on any other time. (in my humble opinion)

Is there an open hot lead near the high idle wire, if so which one? Thanks in advance!

there is. If yours still has the wire tag on it it will say which wire. If not I'll go look at mine and see if I can find i. i connected positive wire to the BCP wire, and now any time the parking break is set and it is in park it idles up.

Violet is the 10 amp fused battery positive under the dash. Same bundle as the pto wires and BCPhttps://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.for...d315d7709b.jpg
