Somebody ought to be saving this COE M-H. Looks to be in dry southern Idaho so is probably in great shape. I have no connection to the seller. Here's the listing, and pics of it. Stu

OH Wow, that thing looks mean as hell! thats a short wheelbase truck and the box, bed on it looks neat. I wonder what kind of service the truck was used for? may just have to call and see what he wants for it. only 4 hours from me. No I shouldn't the wheel look to nice :)

That looks incredibly rare. And this is coming from someone who knows nothing of these MH trucks...

Nice little grocery-getter.

jmadsen 04-29-2011 10:38 PM

LOL,

Ya and I don't think anyone would say anything to you for double parking that rig either!

jmadsen 04-29-2011 11:15 PM

The MH Data tag says chassis weight =5500lbs so you would still need to add the weight of the winch and the box bed on the rear? Probably at least another 1500lbs??

thats an interesting little hump/cover thing on the roof too. he said it was his Uncles truck and he has passed away. I wonder if he has any pictures of the truck from when it was in service.

I hope you have better luck with this one, than I did with those '45's.

iwanaflattie 04-30-2011 06:08 AM

holy crap that thing is sweet.wonder how many ricers it would crush at once.

truckdog62563 04-30-2011 08:26 AM

Josh - the bump on the roof is a window with a mirror so the driver can see up high behind him. These trucks were used for running wire, setting poles, etc. Chuck's got a '51 like it for sale, unless he's sold it by now. Stu

Ah, another one of my passions/hobbies.... If I could ever find a Fender Bass VI (1960's) I'd be a happy cat.

However the video's guitar was not used in the original recording, which was a Danaelectro bass 6.

Now back to your regular programming.

Here's Chuck's yellow '51 with the roof window, and a red '52 owned by one of our members that we haven't heard from in a while. As I remember he was debating whether to cannablize the '52 to use the cab on a dark sider. Maybe why we haven't heard from him in a while. Stu
