Purging Air from Cooling System-'01 F250
Is there a certain procedure for installing new coolant and purging the air from the cooling system? Just changed the water pump. Truck is a 2001 F250 SD Powerstroke.
Also new temp sensor not working (no movement on the idiot factory gauge needle, reads cold). perhaps a "bad" new one sold to me. Any way to test sensor or wire harness? Any help is greatly appreciated. J |
It will purge by its self, you don't need to do anything except maybe turn on your heater.

Also, don't forget to check your coolant level once a day for the next week or so and add if necessary. |
