Cool! I dig the 66-67 Fairlanes.

It looks like it needs a lot of TLC. And a good wash!:-X04 I can't really tell from the pictures but is it a hardtop or a post car? It kind of looks like a hardtop from the one interior shot but I can't tell for sure.

nice1960f250 02-14-2011 06:34 PM

sorry i forgot to tell yall its a 2 door hardtop

fordman75 02-14-2011 06:42 PM

Those hard tops have some nice lines. The roof line just flows on them.

That's a sweet project. How bad is the rust?

nice1960f250 02-14-2011 07:32 PM

not bad at all there are no spot that the rust goes all the though. Some surface rust but not much .Been in the woods under a tree and kinda kept some rain off i guess.Once i can get my father in law to get the bobcat out so we can get it out ill take better pics

i cant wait to start rebuilding this car but i need to put my 360 in place of my 292 in my 1960 f250 after that i going to drive as is for a year or so. my project after the fairlane is a chevy 2 ton but im going to take it off and put on 65 chevy frame i wish it was a ford but we already own it and plenty of parts so it will be a lil cheaper

That fairlane is an incredible deal just to be sitting in your back woods. I used to have a 66 comet 2 door post car. Same as a fairlane just slightly different sheet metal. It was a small block ford powered drag car. What a seriously neat car. I still wish I had it.

I had a 66 Comet 2dr post ( sport coupe ) with a 289. But it was a rusty parts car. But it ran great. I pulled the 289 and swapped it into a 65 Mustang coupe. I miss some of the cars I use to own.:'(
