e350 payload question
Never thought I would be doing this but I have to pick up 2 tons of materials 300 miles out.....look at the pics, she's a beast....ok weight wise?

2 tons should be gravy. Ive had 2 tons in the back of my F250 like it was nothing.
|
Same here-I have 8 eight leafs in the back too. It could very well be different in a van though. How many leafs do you have??
|
5 leaves, 9400# gvwr but I took out 800 pounds of seats!

Just think-If its a 15 passenger van and made to take 15 people at the same time, if the average is 200lbs per person its made to take 3,000lbs. But part of those people are in the front and you will probably be putting the weight in the back so take into consideration that 5 of the 15 will most likely be towards the front so the suspension was in the back was probably engineered for about 1,000lbs. So minus the seats and you have the suspension rated for almost a ton. So if you plan on putting 2 tons in the back you might just sit it down close to the ground. I don't know if that makes any sense to you but thats the way I look at it:)

Got a ton and a half (fuel pellets) now for the 6 hour drive home...all interstate. E4OD, do I need it out of overdrive? I read it wasn't necessary but I just put 2k into rebuilding it......and don't want to do that again.
