A few right-hand drive trucks in that bunch. Pretty cool!

I like the before and after of the transporter.

If you look closer, I think they're two different trucks. I had to do a double take myself. ;-)

Wish I had more of the phone service truck. Also tossed in a pic of my F6. It used to be the community farm truck for hauling gravel/sand for many years. Before that it used to be the school's plow truck up in Ely, MN.

Here are links to the truck I just bought. It will be restored and used to haul some of my other toys, and assist in rebuilding some of them also.

Bobby, I'm liking that first picture!

Ilya,

LOL...thats quite a paint job for the time period isn't it?

51PanelMan 08-12-2010 10:36 AM

Not only that, but I'd love to drive by a Ford dealership and see a row full of Ford trucks like in the picture.

Whoever heard of a plaid truck? Unbelievable.

For some reason, that guy in the skirt looks familiar.

Regarding the plaid paint, I have to wonder, is it all hand painted, or did they mask all that off and spray it?
Either way, what a tremendous amount of work. Wow.

I'd bet it's vinyl, they had stuff like that back then.

Here's a pic of my friend's uncle's new '53; I'm told the pic was taken within a week of purchase for his farm. No coddling back then!

Definitely no coddling. And we wonder why when we find our trucks, they're all beat up and rusty. ;-) It looks like he's maybe lost his gas cap already. Just a little spillage. ;-)
