I am freshening a 51 M3 that had a dump assm. under the bed,I removed the dump assm. and plan on setting the bed back on frame stock like.

the original dump installer cut some of the frame off in order to fit the dump assm. I want to make frame whole again and dont know how much was cut off.
would you please measure from rear most rivit hole for rear spring perch to back of frame, and share this number with me?
I would be very thankful.

My ‘49 has been on the burner behind the back burner since I got it stripped down and it sits as a primed frame and most of the cab work done. Major house and landscaping projects have completely consumed the last two years free time and funds, but that is about to change very soon after one final honey do project. IFS was ordered this week, have a rear axle sitting in back of my daily driver, and picked up a transmission last weekend that will get taken in to the shop next spring for a refresh/rebuild. Probably use it for fit up and see what I have to do with the cab to make it all work together before I do that though. Lots and lots of work is about to open up for me to make this start to look like something. Pretty excited about that….. still have been on here almost daily the entire time to see what everyone else has going on, and keep learning from everyone’s experiences. Thanks to all of you. This is about to get very fun.

30,000 mile, 1992 E4OD out of an F450 motorhome chassis. Even has ebrake on tailshaft which would make things easy. Dropped it off in my shop, and put my 8.8 axle back in the truck because the old man and I will go through it at his shop over the holidays. With a beer and cigar. While kids are screaming, and wives and inlaws are bitching at the folks house.

Ha! Nice to meet my long lost twin. Went through your thread, and sounds about like my story. Except your further on your truck. All looks great so far, so good work. On your TCI M2... Did you line it up matching the centerline of original front axle? Put out a thread yesterday asking from others past experience, and should've just called up my twin brother I didn't know I had.....

No I didn't match up the centerline of the original, centered it using the TCI so the wheel would be dead center. I look and see if I can tell you how far later.
