Nice pics! The good news is you have an existing evap canister so you might be able to return the one you bought (those are EXPENSIVE!). I couldn't see the vacuum distribution node but it might be hidden by the air cleaner. When you're feeling better, could you get some pics around the carb with the air cleaner removed?
I also saw the existing vacuum reservoir looked a little rusted and had been tossed to the side (passenger side close to the blower motor). Probly why they disconnected the other stuff... rust corroded and prevented vacuum buildup. https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.for...b3ac46ce4b.jpg |

Sorry I have took so long to post these pictures my health has been struggling I went to replace the oil sending unit and the temperature sending unit wonder about wore me out I've been trying to track down a rattling in the engine how to replace or push rods that were bent I had thought that the rattling was another turned out to be the power steering pump Pick-n-Pull provided a new power steering pump then the struggle with pulley exchange started realized I didn't have the tool the emergency brake lines have been cut an old Parts truck provided those with help from a friend so at this particular time I am back focusing on smog

Did you know your PCV valve is not in its proper place? The choke housing is missing. [trying to be helpful!] :)

there is a line coming out of the back bottom of the carburetor has a screw inserted into it. there is also a big line coming from the front of the carburetor that leads to nothing, I assume this was the line that went to the fuel canister for vapor. I am not sure that is correct my only question would be what sort of valve would connect it or some kind of fitting tee, check valve?

I'm sorry your health is struggling. But, I'm not going to be much help as I cannot get my head around your posts. Without capitalization nor punctuation it takes too much of my time to work out what you are saying. And, as a volunteer my time is limited. So, I tend to try to help when I can easily understand what is being said. Good luck, and I hope your health gets better, quickly.

Well I did all I could do and sent the truck in for smog diagnosis. My fingers are crossed.

Smog diagnosis? Don't they exempt the vehicle after a certain age?
