An F5 tow truck at the local Ford dealer. Still has the original printing on the doors, but I don't think it has been used for a while....

Hard to tell the make and model, but it's old. And the sign painting was done by my friend's grandfather back in the day.

I believe it to be a 1939/40 Chevrolet COE. But since it has a cool history, we'll accept it. :-X10

I'm always impressed with the craftsmanship found back then. I can't imagine what the cost would be for someone to hand paint and letter all that. Today, it'd just be a giant decal.

It would be a wrap! The company I work for has gone through a re-branding and decided to wrap all of the fleet vehicles in an awful shade of purple with the company's name on the sides. It looks hideous!!!

Recently, I was at a tow yard looking at a total loss when I came upon a guy who was lettering and pinstriping by hand a new tow truck. He did some awesome work. I took his business card in case I ever decide to get my 52 lettered. Talent and skill like his are hard to find.

You are the Man! I love seeing these beauties working at this age. I can't wait until I can do something like that. Shoot, I can't wait until it is drivable.
