I purchased this unit 10 years ago before I decided to ditch my Bendix system for a full P/S upgrade. It sat upon my shelf, uninstalled since. From the very helpful folks at RedHead:
"That manual gearbox would fit 1968-1977 F250/F350 pickups with strictly manual steering. It could also fit those same year trucks that came with the factory manual + power assist set up (ram cylinder + control valve); however, those vehicles used a manual gearbox that had 6.5 turns lock-to-lock whereas the one that you have is 7.5 turns lock-to-lock. "
Not sure why I sourced the 7.5 rather than 6.5 but not sure it makes a great deal of difference for an install.
Currently listed on RedHead at $496 plus core charge. Looking for $250 plus shipping (I'm in Rhode Island)
