1979 Ford F-250 Ranger Camper Special
2 wheel drive Regular Cab long bed. Built in December of '78 as a '79 model year. I've owned since 2013. Mileage is believed to be original and I don't believe odometer has rolled over. Converted to a 4-speed T-18 manual 8 years ago. Comes with all of the original parts removed from conversion including factory cruise control system, linkage, C-6 automatic, and driveshaft. Several upgrades: PMGR starting system, high flow water pump, ford racing timing set, 5" aluminum driveshaft, Holley 4160 carburetor with manual choke, retro sound radio, griffin aluminum radiator. Many parts replaced over the years and all old ones kept. New tires and modern 16" rims installed in August 2023. Comes with all factory parts replaced over the years plus the original 16.5" rims which have 4 old tires on them and two old spare 16" rim/tires. Comes with topper shell (off of a mid 2000s super duty). I would like to keep the truck tool box. Clean title and just passed 2 year East Baton Rouge inspection. only known issue is the fuel tank switching valve has failed. The OEM replacements are obsolete. I have installed a manual valve to switch between tanks. $8500. I don't need to sell it and I don't need help selling it. Open to trades for a late model crew cab pickup (6 seats) in decent shape.
