1990 F150 4x4 AOD tranny - rebuilt
For SaleDrivetrain
Description:
This is the AOD from 'old blue', a truck I scrapped in 2008ish time frame. prior to that I had the tranny rebuilt as the 4th gear diode went and it was harsh, given that she had apx 230K on it, rather than a repair we went rebuild.
I put 15K on it since. Then I scrapped old blue when the frame went and sold everything BUT the tranny. I got 'new blue' but its tranny never went and we sold her last summer. This tranny has been out of the weather, in my ATV shed, along with the REBUILT, furnace brazed converter. all told it cost me $1600.
Its a 4x4 model meaning it will NOT work in a 2wd unless you get a new case and a longer output shaft. The 1356 xfer case was sold off of it.
Core is $275 for one of these, I will sell this for $300. It is located in NW pa, near clarion. If I still have it come summer, it will be at Carlisle ATN
its a huge discount, but I need the $$ and the room, Im getting out of the resto biz fully as I am now an old man and want to work on MY truck only.
The rebuild was done by Sam McBride in huntingdon Pa, if you are from central PA, you know him...the converter was done by Don something or another in Orbisonia PA who you would also know as he is the only rebuilder who still furnace brazes the fins.
