Description:
UPDATE: I was told my asking price is way too high? So I lowered it. Sorry, not trying to get rich just need to sell is all. Anyone know what I should be asking price-wise please let me know. I tried to judge what they sell for online but it's all over the place.
California truck locally owned for decades. I bought it 8 years ago from a close friend but my son is headed off to college and I need to sell. Clean California title and current non-op. Restored black plates from the 60s.
I went through and replaced most everything essential to making it road worthy. All new brakes, brake lines, master cylinder relocated under the floor, new hardware and wheel cylinders, etc. It's all new. Also replaced the lights and wiring, all new glass and weather stripping, door window channels and locks, mirrors, fuel tank, etc. Relocated battery to engine bay (new battery). I know I'm missing things I've replaced but I have receipts for it all.
The engine is a verified 312 V8 (ECZ caps) and high lift rockers ECG 6564. Was rebuilt by the previous owner who lives off Park Ave in Hemet and only has 36 miles on it and runs great. A rebuilt 2 barrel Autolite 2100 carburetor, Pertronix electronic ignition conversion sits atop a new distributor. 12 volt alternator conversion, rebuilt 3 speed manual transmission, new u-joints and rear diff flush.
Custom interior is 90% complete. Leather bench with ostrich insert and matching door/kick panels. Windows need to be converted to electric to use the door panels or the panels need to be made to fit the manual setup. I will add those pictures to this ASAP. Dolphin gauges installed but I still have the original cluster. I have not modified the suspension nor the manual steering box. New wheels/tires can be to the new owners taste as the ones currently mounted need replacing.
The body is in exceptional shape. The cab corners, roof rail are solid as is the floor pan. I have pictures of it all striped down and it's very solid. The only rust I find is where the muffler turns out on the bottom of the driver's side fender (PICTURED).
I have all the original parts I pulled off like the wiring harness, seat frame, heater core, *****, etc. And as stated above I have receipts for parts I've replaced. Great truck, nice patina, just needs a new home I guess. Never thought I'd be selling it but sometimes more important things come up. I've owned a lot of vehicles but nothing this special. Hope the new owner appreciates it like I do.
Wanted to give you guys first look before I post it local here in a few days. Truck can be driven home but anything further than local I would tow it (San Jacinto, CA). Tires are not in good shape. Call, Email or Text (951)390-5919 Tim
