Saginaw Steering Pump And 4 Bolt Steering Box Conversion Kit for 87-96 F-150 and Bronco
For SaleSteering/Suspension
Description:
Pretty much everything you need to convert your 302/351W to the more powerful and adaptable Saginaw power steering pump and the stronger/better feeling/longer lasting 4 bolt steering box. This includes a reman pump, box and a bunch of new parts.
Remanufactured Parts:
Cardone Saginaw Power Steering Pump from Advance Auto (can provide receipt, so you can use the warranty)
Cardone 4 Bolt Power Steering Gear Box - no receipts, don't remember what store I got it from but I didn't use it and I have the instruction sheets and new bolts it came with
New Parts:
Gates power steering pressure and return hoses - may have to bend metal tubing a little bit per thread on FSB
Moog Problem Solver K80795 Super Duty Pittman arm (works with Bronco steering geometry, should speed up steering slightly)
NAPA Master Ride Bronco Pittman arm (you can use either, I didn't want to pull a 28 year old Pittman arm off a steering box at all)
Used Parts:
Ford original Saginaw power steering pulley in good used shape
Ford original Saginaw power steering bracket for Windsor motors (302 or 5.0, 351W or 5.8)
Missing Parts:
Cap for Saginaw power steering reservoir - these can be had cheap in the "Help!" section of most auto parts chain stores. I had one but I have no idea where it went; if I find it I will include it.
Nut for Pittman arm shaft on steering box - reuse yours.
Nuts for steering box mounting bolts - again, reuse yours.
Saginaw reservoir block-off bolt - didn't need one for what I was going to do as I was going to stick a sensor in the hole; you can use a hardware store bolt of the appropriate size and thread, cover with teflon tape and install.
Pump mount bolts - can use hardware store bolts.
Since I have a 1989. this was all that was needed for 87-89 trucks - everything bolts right up. If you have a 90-96 truck, the A/C compressor mounting holes on this bracket are 10mm your truck has 8mm or smaller bolts holding the compressor on. You can solve this either by purchasing a set of four M10 thread reducers to the smaller size of the later trucks' bolts or by purchasing a set of four M10 compressor mount bolts and drilling out the mount holes in your AC compressor. Or you could install an 87-89 AC compressor; to be specific, this is a large hole bracket.
Asking $300 for the entire set plus shipping but will entertain offers. May deliver within reasonable range of the Dallas area.
Edit: I only have the one of these - was going to put it on my personal truck. Once it's gone I won't have any more; I'm just clearing shelf space. All items are sold as is, where is as I am not an auto parts store - but I guarantee they are as represented above.
