I finished the swap late last summer and have almost 5000 miles on my 351; the M5OD is holding up pretty well. I plan on changing the fluid in the gearbox as soon s it warms up and will try using Valvoline Synchromesh fluid in place of the Dexron/Mercon ATF that I used to fill it up with....

I saw that you posted that you have the 351w with a M5OD behind it, how's that holding up? I have the 5.0 M5OD and was thinking of stepping up to the 5.8.
