Part 2 because posting was to long: No way would this truck throw a rod in the engine I keep it serviced to much. I know in a few minutes I am going somewhere so not sure if we will get to it today or if we are going to do more work on the house. Tommorrow suppose to go work for a quad and a few other things including a truck box that I may put in my 88 F150. I know when I fix the 86 I am going to fix it right re hook up the cruise control, be able to start it with a key instead of vise grips, and put the horn on right instead of a button from a furnace that stays on till you hit it again.

on the 80-91 Ford trucks they have an actuator that is made of cheap pot metal and it broke before so we started the truck with vise grips I guess doing it so many times that way made the rod that goes to a little electronic box (not sure of the name) popped off. I believe this is what happened. I haven't taken it apart yet. It will run if you hot wire the truck but now the battery is dead as it was stuck in accessory for about half an hour (because I couldn't take it out being the rod popped off). The rod just goes to the electric box that tells the truck to either start, run, turn off, stay on accessories and Etc. I have a spare box if it broke to but I doubt it did.

No problem Trav, you deserve them. Yeah I bet it is after always seeing it running. So what happened with it exactly, it through a rod or something?
