I have an enclosed 16' cargo trailer that was a special build with an over height roof, larger frame and 5000# tandem axles. It has a gvwr of 10,000 lbs. I was fully loaded for work and it came in at 8000 lbs. I came from a 05 F350 crew cab diesel with a small lift and 35" tires. The F150 out tows my diesel! I know the lift and tires were working against me with the F350 and maybe there was a weird aerodynamic thing going on while towing the over height trailer. The ecoboost pulls it with ease. Acceleration is far better with the F150. I used to pull the southern oregon passes at about 60 mph max with the diesel and the F150 will pull the same hills at 80 mph! I absolutely love the ecoboost. My mileage towing isn't any better though. About 11. Empty I get 22 on the highway. I plan on leaving the F1`50 bone stock. That is how happy I am with it as a work vehicle and daily driver. I have the standard tow package with 3.55 gears.

Hey there, I was just wondering what trailer you are pulling that weighs 8000lbs?? And how well the truck preforms for you while towing? I'm about to pull the trigger on a 2012 Outback 292BH that weighs 6510lbs dry and has GVWR of 8200lbs and is 32' long. Hope to hear from you! Kevin
