Conversation Between Ken_C and dclack

How's the 3.55s in your truck (i.e. fuel mileage vs power)? I have an identical truck (except 5sp manual). It originally had the 4.10s which were killing my mileage and engine. I was running about 2700 rpm at 70 mph; so I regeared to 3.73s which dropped my rpms to 2200 at 70 without much noticeable loss in torque. I was afraid to go down to 3.55s for fear of loosing too much torque. Not that I'm planning on regearing any time soon, I'm just curious how the 3.55s handle.
