There aren't really "types" of grill guard. That was just an average grill guard.

If you have the dough, I would suggest dropping it into a real steel front bumper for true protection.

The bumper I had cost about $350 to $450, I don't really rememeber.

You should be able to find one through Jegs, get some ideas and go from there.
