Hello,

I have a 06 ford f250 and I have been reading posts about the ficm repair and saw where you stated that the ficm could be tested off the truck by using a battery and varying the load to simulate the injectors----also you were looking for schematics.

I am an electrical tech and I have my ficm in the lab ----I did not see signs of solder joints cracked or needing any touch up but I did anyway. I wanted to know if you could explain a little more on how I can test the unit in the lab with varying the load---could I use light bulbs as loads?

I have considered replacing the resistors and capacitors. I am not real sure on how to perform the test without it being connecting to the truck.
