I have a 1976 F100 with a 1979 front clip and a 351w from a 1969 Torino, and a C4 from something (seller had no idea). I'm tackling wiring issues and have several connectors that are not connected to anything. There are a total of 4 in the engine bay, 2 at the fuse block and 2 at the heater motor. I also have 2 under the dash on the drivers side. Anyone know what these are for?
Not sure on wiring colors, since I don't have my wiring diagrams with me at work, but could #5 be the neutral safety/reverse light switch? That's a four-wire plug, and mounts on the steering column under the dash.
Those diagrams are for the Econoline and not for the Pickups.
Look at the last diagram posted. Wiring Diagram, Lights and switches. Sections 61, 62, 63 and 64, through sections A, B, C, D, E, and F.
Those sections show the wiring of the Roof marker lights on Econolines with the School Bus Package. Whenever did a Ford Pickup truck need flashing Red lights on the roof to stop traffic??
Wire colors are 2 Red/Yellow Stripe, one Black wire.
For the throttle Actuator and EGR valve solenoid on smog controlled vehicles.

#2 Connector #1013 One White Wire For camper Ground, and One Black/Red stripe wire For Camper Back up lamps.

#3 Are you sure it's white/Blue and not White Purple? If it's white Purple, it's for the transmission gear shift neutral switch, or backup lamp switch on the tranny. Connector #1017

#4 Connector #417 Blue Wire. 4 wheel drive indicator lamp.

#5 Connector #419 Seat belt warning Buzzer

#6 Connector #503: Accessory Plug. Hot in run or accessory. Also can hook to factory "accessory safety relay" on certain models.

on plug #3 for the NSS / backup lamps, one end is connected to the trans, where does the end sitting in the engine compartment go? There is a plug near the heater motor, but no corresponding plug anywhere under the hood. It's just sitting there in the harness. Wondering if it's supposed to have a 12v signal down to the switch on the transmission?
also, there is a blue wire on the frame that has a black round plug. Looks like it should go on either the transmission, a 4x4 case (if it was a 4wd model), but it's just tied up on the frame. any ideas what its for?
