front coil springs

Hey guys,
Are the 4x4 and 2x4 front coil springs the same for a 78-79? I bought moog replacenemts off kijiji, but not sure if they'll fit my 2x4...

The 78-79 should be the same springs for both 4wd and 2wd. Did you order your springs for a 4x4 or 2wd thats the question?

It was a private buy off Kijiji..... Guy said he bought them
quite a few years back and assured me they were for a 2x4...... Got them home and looked up the moog part # (cc814) and they are for a 4x by my re searchin......

I would think the 2wd ones would be shorter at the very least but im guessing cause ive never fooled with 2wd.

they might be taller and they might have a thicker coil than the 2x4 coils, but don't take my word for it,

but my '77 F-150 SWB 4x4 frame didn't come with front coils, so i ended up getting a pair off a 1991 Diesel Ford E-450 Ambulance, they did require some slight modifications to fit the cup, but there in and they fit really good, and there super tough 1 ton springs, and the front end sure sits up good now, and i shouldn't have to worry about nose dive now,
