Man, I wish I could have gotten the pic of the 42-47 fire engine that a car lot had for a few weeks. Ironically the day I was going to get it, I saw it as I drove by to get my hair cut. I was going to stop on the way back by. Then as I was approaching the car lot, it was on the back of a trailer being hauled away. If anybody here happens to have purchased the Park City FD truck from the place of 47th Street in Wichita, post some pics. That could be a neat thread... pics of all the old fire trucks that y'all are working on, or driving.
They are out there, seems they come up on eBay frequently. Seems as the good '41 and earlier stuff is drying up moer and more are turning to the '42-'47 models, especially the big trucks. Not sure why, but there seems to be an abundance of those, which as a huge fan of the '42-'47 models makes me happy. Hopefully the new owner of that truck will stumble across our forum and post some pix.
