42-47 Fire trucks galore!
Man, I wish I could have gotten the pic of the 42-47 fire engine that a car lot had for a few weeks. Ironically the day I was going to get it, I saw it as I drove by to get my hair cut. I was going to stop on the way back by. Then as I was approaching the car lot, it was on the back of a trailer being hauled away. 
If anybody here happens to have purchased the Park City FD truck from the place of 47th Street in Wichita, post some pics. That could be a neat thread... pics of all the old fire trucks that y'all are working on, or driving.
These seem to be making a comeback!

They are out there, seems they come up on eBay frequently. Seems as the good '41 and earlier stuff is drying up moer and more are turning to the '42-'47 models, especially the big trucks. Not sure why, but there seems to be an abundance of those, which as a huge fan of the '42-'47 models makes me happy. Hopefully the new owner of that truck will stumble across our forum and post some pix.
