C6 questions

Hello, i was wondering if there are different C6 transmissions for the FE block. Like different splines (input/output), different lengths. The one that's in my '54 truck is already set-up and driving, but I want to get another to rebuild and not disable the truck. It's a slip yoke, all aluminum C6 mated to a 390. I found one local but want to make sure it will fit.

Check the length of the extension housing. There are different extension housing/output shaft lengths. Also the position of the transmission mount.

Make sure the bell housing bolt pattern and starter positions are the same.
