I am trying to reattach the parking brake on my dads 1982 ford f250. I am looking at the LMC website and they want $40 for the adjuster. Anybody know where to get one cheaper or maybe sell me theirs??? Thanks,
I currently dont have any of the parts. The cable from the pedal in the cab runs down the frame. That one cable connects to the two cables going to each wheel. All I have are the cables and a spring. I dont know what all the parts look like that's why I have been studying this picture. All the parts I need would be $90. I don't wanna spend that... Wish I had junkyards around here...

The only thing i have is the cable coming from parking brake pedal and the the two cables going to each wheel. I need the equalizer, adjusters and such. I live in Winter Park 70 miles west of denver.
Evanch123, here is a pic of the parking brake parts you are looking for. The cable connector is part of the adjuster assembly.
As Franklin2 said, you can use a piece of 3/8 threaded rod to replace the "rest of the adjuster assembly" and some washers and a nut. Thats what I did for my 87 years ago. If you don't have a cable connector, you might get one from a parts store like NAPA and rig something up. It might not be a Ford connector but as long as it works. If I remember correctly, my 87 Chev Cavalier had a cable connector for the parking brake. Hope this is helpful.
