42-47 Cowl Panels and fender mounts

I am looking for Cowl Panels for a 42 to 46 1.5 ton Truck and The fender mount brackets. Is there a vendor that has these? Every truck that I have seen has their fender mount brackets welded to the cowl. Mine are bolted. Were there two different types or what, Can someone enlighten me on this?
Thanks

I don't know if you have tried Northern Classic Trucks or not, and I don't know if they would have these or not, but I know they do have quite a bit of stuff for these trucks. Do you have a pic of the section you are needing, as I am probably lopping off everything in front of the door post on my truck?

Is this the bracket you are needing?

(MPRSOX, I borrowed a part of one of your pics. Hope you don't mind.)

I don't think that is the bracket. For some reason I am not allowed to post pics. (the post rules say no) The bracket in question connects the upper rear fender to the edge of the cowl.

You must mean this one, then. I guess until now, the fenders have been off of my project truck, so I always assumed it was for the hood hinge. Is this it?

Man! I sure am posting a lot in this one...

Here's a pic of the one on my project. I think this is what you meant. Oh, and with the pic thing, try using a photo hosting site, or you can put pics in your gallery. (See https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/9...ck-photos.html.)

You mentioned that your bracket is bolted. Can you tell if it's the same size and shape as those that you've seen welded? Both of my trucks have the brackets welded on. Would the welded one work with holes drilled in the appropriate places?

All the '42-'47's I have had or ever worked on had the bracket welded to the body, never seen one bolted on. Maybe somebody put a bolt through at a different time? There is just the one style, welded. I have never seen these reproduced by anybody, especially since they are welded on. Might have to salvage some from another cab or fabricate something.

Man! I need to start making more of the parts from these trucks. It sure seems like there are a lot of pieces that aren't available anymore. Little stuff like this anyway. Might have to be hand-made, but maybe enough of a market for a few of them.

If you're interested in the one from my truck, let me know. I PM'd you.

How much of the cowl are you needing? I see the cab corners on Northern Classic's website. I'm not sure how far up, down, or back you need.
