Origanal engine paint color
Easy one for y'all. What are the engine colors for my 66 352 engine. Know block was probably black but what about the valve covers?They were painted gold when I got it but looks like they were red underneath.

1965 F100/350 352 engines were painted black w/gold valve colors. The passenger car 352 engines were black w/blue valve covers.
1966 was the first year all car/truck engines were painted Ford Corporate Blue, including the valve covers.
The reason the valve covers were painted specific colors prior to 1966: This was FoMoCo's way to ID what size the engine was.
Ford confusion: Truck valve colors were not the same as the cars: Example: 1965 passenger car 289 2V: Black engine, gold valve covers.
