Lend some knowledge?

Hi All,
I know very little about truck/car specifics. I'm a complete newbie. But I have a truck, a '64 Mercury, that I'm looking to sell.
I would love some help getting an idea for how much this thing is worth, and where to sell it when you are rural. Online maybe?

Some specs as far as I know:

1964 Mercury Stepside Pickup
V8 engine
Run's well
engine was last rebuilt in 1999
8200 miles
was bought in '98 for $7000
Had to do extensive work to the engine because of a faulty rebuild before me
total of $7000 worth of work done to it since purchase

I have more pictures as well.
Thanks so much!

EDIT: I don't expect to get as much as I've put in to it, just want to get something monetary out of selling.

That looks to have a 9 foot bed. Is it a 250?

Values can be all over the place. You paid $7000 and put $7000 in for a total of $14,000. You'll never see that. I can tell you that in California, where there are lots of decent trucks that probably wouldn't get $2000. Sounds harsh but I have watched a nice 65 with inline 6 and 4spd go from $1850 down to $1395 so far. You would need a place that is a sellers market and that isn't California.

250? not sure what you mean...sorry ha.

And in terms of what I expect, it's not much. was hoping at least 5000. I live in rural British Columbia in Canada. Near the BC/Alberta border.

Or, in your case, an M-100 or M-250. The question is whether it is half ton or heavy 3/4. The answer should be on the emblem on the side of the hood.

I like the custom bed floor it is rockin'. I don't think it could support more then a few plastic shopping bags but a load is a load.

Quite sure it is a 1/2 ton.

How much do you think it is worth? And the best way to sell it?

Easy way to tell is 5 lug nuts=100 or 8 lug nuts=250

If it has an 9 foot bed that is kinda rare.
if it doesn't have much rust, that will bring up the value
Best way to sell it? they have a classified section on this site, try there!

Value? whatever you and the buyer agree to... maybe a range of 1to3 thousand.

I am not sure what the price could be. I know that a Mercury truck is much rarer in the states than a Ford truck given they were made in Windsor and marketed in Canada.

9' Flareside beds: 1957/72 F350's only.

F100 & F250's were available w/ 6 1/2' & 8' Flareside beds.

All 1953/66 F350's have 6 lug wheels on a 7.25" bolt circle.

The only rust is cosmetic, there isn't any rust damage.

So selling it in the US might be a good idea? Are there any good websites to try listing it on? (and this one of course )

There is a 1966 fleetside Mercury that has a current bid of $6100 USD on eBay. Otherwise if you targeted the closest stateside city and posted a Craigslist.org ad (free) it might be worth a giggle. By the way, I think your truck is a beauty. : )
