I am trying to figure out the routing of the headlight and parking light wires on my 55 pickup. Do the park light wires go through the bottom of the headlight buckets, and connect to the cross over harness? Is the harness hidden behind the grille? What about the power supply wire that is connected to the cross over harness, does it run along the inter fender and through the air deflector or is it routed somewhere else. I looked in the Ford truck manual, but didn't see anything pertaining to the routing of the wires. Appreciate any help.

Take a look at this for basic wiring. The wire for headlight power should run from the headlight switch, down to the high beam/dimmer switch then out to the left headlight bucket. It should be split inside the bucket and run to that headlight plug, then, th esecond set runs back out the bucket and across to the right headlight in the grill.
Here are a couple diagrams that might be helpful. They are labeled 51 but are actually generic.
Be sure that you run a wire from the socket and ground it to the headlight bucket - there should be a sheet metal screw already installed for this. Make sure it is shiny and clean at the grounding connection.
PS "Busses" are power supply..."hot" (on all the time), and "switched" on with the key.
As far as routing, the crossover harness hides underneath the upper radiator valence panel. The small holes you see from the outside are where the wiring clips mount on the underside. The supply wires route along the left inner fender panel. Hope this helps.
