Hey Folks, I'm back home

Thanks everyone,

This was our 6th trip together to Ontario and one of the best.

Both flights were great & had good movies.
On the way, was : K-19 , The Widow Maker
On the way back, was : Men In Black II

I went a little stir crazy at times, being away from the puter & missing this site. I was able to visit a library 3 times in 16 days plus Nutter & I read a few threads together,it kinda helped.

The first 5 days were spent at the cottage on Lake Mazineau.5 days of doing NOTHING but a little reading.
With the leaves changing colours a lake view with a Loon to wake up to every morning, it was "Just beautiful!" around there.

Michelle & I rented a 2002 VW Beetle.
It was okay but I won't do it again,Lots of room for me but,too much road noise & you can't see where the front bumper or rear bumper is. We did put 2200 Km on it though.

Michelle must have found every *Dollar Store*, East of Hamilton,we came home with two boxes and a 3rd piece of luggage.
Total weight 160lbs. Yikes!

Just so everyone knows we met some wonderful people from this site and they DID'NT look at all like I had pictured.

Nutter(Rick) & his on again off again wife ,Deb, live on a great piece of property near Port Perry. When we arrived & met,Michelle & I were greeted by at least 100 Wild Turkey's walking across a field near the house. What a Site !
I can understand why he is into 4x4'n & snowmobiling.

Weldman(Matt) has a great looking machine that is a lovingly restored
former farm truck. Very Nice Matt.
Susanne(sp)accompanied Matt to the FTE meet.

Quadqism was also there and has a well taken care of truck & he is a nice guy.

BrentS(Brent) drove from Brampton with Joanne (wife)and Michael (infant son)
They seemed to really enjoy the few hours and showed enthusiasm toward
more meets.
On a side note,it was nice to see a young lady (Joanne) eat so well and so much, she could compete with me.
Way to go Joanne !

A recently joined user Keiths50_F68 happened by to meet us and show some photo's of his newly acquired 1950-F68 Fire Truck (Former Tanker)

Everyone who attended received an FTE Bumper sticker & a 5" Ford Oval Decal from Ken & Peggy.

I also had a luck of the draw for two item's.
A 20" Ford Oval Sticker going to BRENT
& a foam/insulated Beer Bottle sleeve with a 79 4x4 printed on it.
I doubt it will take Wayne too long to wear of the photo's of the G & Dodge truck that were also printed on it..

Photo's of the event will be posted in both the Ontario chapter forum,& the Events forum.

Glad to be back.

More on the trip to follow.

Hey Folks, I'm back home

Welcome back Dennis... Nice pics. Ontario is beautiful.. I was in Ottawa for Canada Day 2001. What a celebration. A beautiful Capitol city as well. Try the Montreal Jazz Festival some year. It is a blast.

I think Mike went back live on Oct 7th,so The show was the 11th of the season. It just wasn't me ,Michelle was on it too don't forget.
She said she was a Housewife from Whitby.

Have a look in the directory.

During my time away I was missing my truck so much I took the Beetle to see what REAL vehicles look like.
