Does anybody know if Gibson is basically the best Manufacturer and best options for a Cat-Back Exhaust System for my 08 250 Truck? I have looked all over the net...and have come to this conclusion. I also thought about purchasing a couple nice muffler's and just having the local exhaust shop, custom bend me a "Real Nice" true dual exhaust from the cats back. Also thought about eliminating the cats alltogether and just going from there back to dual side exhaust, any thoughts?
@gigger-ya, checked them out too...they only list kits for up to 07, nothin for the new bodies? I found that quite common with about 3 different manufacturer's. With as large of a campany Flowmaster is, you would think they would have some options, but even they only had one very simple, single exhaust cat back system. Where as Gibson has 9 different options with choices fo stainless to boot.
Thanks for the reply...
Have you listened to soundclips of the Gibson cat-back exhaust kits? I searched Gibson's website and found 4 design options in either aluminized steel or 409 SS for a 2008 F250 CC SB truck.
Ya I did listen to what they had online...the Stang sounded good, but when doesn't a Mustang with an Exhaust Kit sound good-lol! I'm pretty sure that I'm going with the Gibson Kit and gonna have a Cat eliminator piece made up down at the local muffler shop.
Thanks again...
Dont be afraid of Gibson. I put a dual extreme SS kit on my last F-150 in 2004, and the guy that bought the truck from me still has it on there and still sounds good and not a spot of rust anywhere-looks like it was put on yesterday. The kit was very easy to install, everything was there. Great product IMHO.
