I've been looking for a car to buy once my truck is sold.
I'm 20, I'm a male, I want a car that's fun to drive (hard to say when I can't drive a manual tranny. I'd like it to be American. I'd like it to be under $10,000.
I was looking at the Lincoln LS's but they are hard to find around here.
I'm not looking for a new car, forgot to mention that. I looked into the ford fusion. Is there anything you can do to them? For example, I'd like to drop a system in it but I'm going from a truck with a v8 and 200 amp alternator to a V6 motor. I wouldn't mind the ford fusion my aunt has one that is the 4 banger and it isn't bad. I would really like a rear wheel drive though.

If your a Ford guy then you have three options for RWD. Mustang, Older Crown Vic and the Mercury Grand Marquis plus the parger Lincolns. IMO, the Stang is the only real option.
I wanted an LS as well but just couldn't find one. Ended up getting a new Bullitt but that is a bit out of your price range and they only come with manuals, I'd suggest looking for a '05+ Mustang GT or find a cheaper V6 and throw some forced induction at it.
I may have to wait till the summer and lower the price on my truck to get it to sell. I wouldn't mind driving a v6 LS but i'd really love the v8.
Again I wouldn't mind the fusion but i'm getting tired of craigslist searching everyday lol. I have seriously gone over the same LS ads for the past 2 weeks now. Was just wondering if anyone else had any input.
I had an offer for a trade. They wanted to trade me an 00' audi a4 1.8t. I thought this would be nice but the timing belt is a helluva job and they need changing every 70-90000 miles. I may have ran into trouble learning the stick but i'm told it's easy.
If you are serious, look up a student driver course that has stick shift cars, and learn on them. No sense in wearing out a clutch on your own car as you learn.
kind of hard to find around here, but you may also consider a mercury marauder. You can find them on ebay occasionally. It was made in 2003-2004 and is v8,auto,rear wheel drive with the 300 hp cobra mustang engine.
That's what I heard about the Audi's. I would've loved to own one because my friends is pretty nice, but I don't think he's owned it long enough to where the timing belt needs changing. That's why I am not taking the trade.
To explain why I am so picky is that my parents work for Ford. I'm not going to by something Japanese. Maybe European but not Japanese. Thanks for your replies though. Again, this is just small talk until I get the cash in hand to actually afford a "new to me" car. Truck is up for sale, had some offers but nobody wants to just give me 10k for it, trucks in my sig, pictures are old.
