Getting to have my heads rebuilt
Come Jan., I'm having the 460 out of my 76 F350 rebuilt. Block is straight forward, but what should I request re. the heads. I will be getting hardened seats (intake and exhaust) and a 3-angle valve job. What else should I ask them to do that would improve low RPM 1500-3500RPM) performance/ torque? Also, does anyone have an update on when Edlebrock will have their performer heads available for this engine? Would they be worth considering for a low RPM, torque engine? GVW with the camper on board is 9200 lbs., so I don't want to sacrifice the lo-end power I'm used to.

I've had good luck in the past by using an aftermarket cobra-jet intake and gasket matching the heads to the cobra-jet port size. They still have very good low end power and breathe much better.
