wasmt 100% on the year but i could walk out this with the airbox cover, maf sensor, intake tube splitter, computer, and harness for less then 100 bucks from a truck at the junkyard its half off next Saturday so anyone know how much work would it be to get it all out of there? the truck had the same style intake as my 88 except the actual air box cover said ford efi and it had a maf on it and a tube that split from the 2 intake tubes from the throttle body down to just 1 big tube and went in to the maf then to the airbox. is it worth it? to remove it? i am thinking it might be even if i have to spend a day ill bring my cordless sawzall if i have to! i want to be able to run a more aggressive cam later on ive herd problems with getting too aggressive on the air density. so where would the computer be located at also i have a manual so i dont think there would be any problems if it was an auto? i cant remember and one last thing what should i make sure not to forget if i take it! i am thinking all sensors under the hood and if i find matching wires same as mine i might cut them off and label them to fit on to mine such as the o2 sensor..
Well if your at all familair with you engine bay then I would grab anything that is different as far as sensors and wiring. Even if it cost you $200 it's a heck of a deal, considering other guys are spending almost $1000 for this upgrade. The PCM is bolted through the firewall. Held on with 2 10mm nut.
You should get pretty much the whole wiring harness, along with all the sensors and such. Take the time to actually remove the parts dont just cut them out, kind of a pain when it come to the harness under the intake but worth it having a complete harness you can just add the wires you need to the one on your truck.
cool so this is definitely worth it then! goodie! ill grab everything i can then last weekend i saw a few 460s with the snorkels maybe ill trade snorkels on the air boxes too
