Chroming interior trim

The headliner trim pieces from from '78 F250 Crewcab are painted metal. I would like them to be chrome color. Has anyone had any good experiences with powder coating metal objects a chrome color? Did it look like nice shiney new chrome or did it have some other type of finish / shean to it? These are interior pieces.

Question 2: any ideas on how to touch up the chrome on the HVAC vents in the dash of a '78 truck? The original chroming is worn off and would like to restore them.

I've tried several different chrome subs and thing Powder coat chrome is about as close as you'll get. There are a few spray chromes that aren't too bad either, but there's a LOT of variation between them. Having said all that, none of them are real chrome-like. They come off like a mottled, dull chrome finish - somewhat flat I guess is the best way I can describe it. You can't spray apiece next to real chrome and expect it to match. Would be OK for what you want tho.

Eastwood sells a chroming system that may be good fro small plastic pieces. Otherwise you need to find new/used items to replace. 77777777

I have never seen a PC that actually looks like chrome. Take a look at House of Kolors KK00 Mirror Krome... it looks like the real thing when properly applied. Also, you can get it coated by ALSA, which is a little expensive.
