The new diesel (with the Auto tranny) is only going to be a $ 6,503 upcharge !!
That's significantly less than the current upcharge. Good move Ford.

i believe the pricing of the truck will be a bit more than the MY2010 cause in '10 the price included the manual transmission. the $6,500 price tag for the PSD isn't for the engine and transmission it's for the engine only. the extra cost of the torque shift will be added to the base price. that is if i read that article correctly. i may be wrong though.

Just so there is no confusion... $6,503 is dealer invoice, not MSRP. MSRP is $7,835...

As mxer022 pointed out, the base price of the trucks have increase to reflect new standard equipment, i.e. 6R140 transmission. A couple of examples follow...
A 2010 F-350 Lariat 4X4 Crew Cab Short Bed w/ 5.4L has a base price of $42,540. The base price of the same truck for 2011 w/ 6.2L and 6R140 is $44,745.
A 2010 F-350 King Ranch 4X4 Crew Cab Long Bed w/ 5.4L has a base price of $46,775. The base price of the same truck for 2011 w/ 6.2L and 6R140 is $49,605.
