Help on a 2001 Ford Edge Stalling

My niece has asked me to help her solve a problem. Her 4.0 V6 Edge stalls at intersections, or when she slows for a speed bumb, and then won't start. My brother took it to the dealer and ran a diag on it. No luck, plus the damn truck ran fine. Their 'guess' was either the fuel pump, (even though it has sufficient fuel pressure), or IAC since neither item (according to them) will not throw a code. Sounds like they are guessing to me. I am leaning towards the IAC, but cannot understand why that would prevent it from restarting. According to the dealer they did not want to do either one because neither is a cheap resolution. Say what?

Did a search here and got nowhere. What do ya'll say??

SKUNKED

Wow. For six years I have been posting at FTE and have never been skunked for an answer from you all.

Does no one have experience with the Edge?

I had a 94 F150 5.0 and it was doing some of the same. It would not start til it cooled down. Then it would crank right up.Took months to figure this one out. Even tho it was working,it was sending a bad signal to the computer. It was the coolant sensor. I unpluged it to try it out and it cranked right up.
