Looking at a 2001 F150 locally. I don't know much about trucks, just need one to haul stuff around.
So here are the specs that I know.
2001 F150 XLT
4DR EXT CAB
4x2
V6 4.2
160k Miles
And it says Sport. What exactly is the "Sport" Model?
Body is in fair shape, little dents, and could use some paint.
Interior is pretty clean, its cloth.
Approx value on that? I think I can get it for a pretty good deal, I just want to make sure.
$4500-5000 at most for a V6 SC not sure what the sport means but IMHO if you need to haul stuff a Regcab with a 5.4 or if need be 4.6 would be a better use of your funds.
at least a 4.6 to haul stuff. I think sport is a trim package, I think it's a step above xl but not yet xlt. a truck worth a certain in your area may be cheaper another area in your state.

I wouldn't pay anywhere near what KBB says on a vehicle in this economy. In the price range of the truck in question I would immediately subtract $1500-2000 from the KBB price. Keep in mind, KBB doesn't own any cars, doesn't sell any cars, and isn't going to buy your car for the price they list
