I am/was really interested of water/methanol injection, and I came across a great thread here on FTE from those times, when Spartan was an active poster. It's 83 pages of posts, a lot of info there guys:

I'm an absolutele believer in the "NO DRUGS" policy when it comes to diesels, but this is one modification I would do if I had the coin.

it seems like its to good to be true is there no one on this site who runs on of these systems i havent had very good luck with programmers so maybe this is the answer to lower egts while towing they dont get that high but im always running 25+ pounds of boost with my camper when i get some coin saved up i will try it and let you guys know how it works

I don't know of anyone on this site who runs one, but I know some people that do and have run them. How high of EGT's are you seeing towing your camper?

i dont see much over 1300 and thats on a steep grade the egr delete made all the difference in towing but i would like a little better fuel economy i have a hard time getting better than 8 or 9 mpg according to the lie-o-meter but it is a 31 foot 10000pound bumper pull trailer my buddys 06 is getting 12 pulling the same load in a 5th wheel

Do you have a larger exhaust or still the factory? That makes a huge difference in EGT reduction also.

That will work "OK" but it should be your next upgrade. 3.5" downpipe to 4" exhaust will help you in the EGT area a bunch without killing your bottom end at all.
