Mirror caps
Do the color coded mirror caps come off? I'm switching mirrors this weekend and this is the only part I'm worried about. BTW its a 97 Expedition EB

If it's like the new ones, you have to pop out the mirror glass first. You will then see that the cap is held onto the frame using locking tabs. With the glass out of the way, you can unclip the locking tabs and remove the caps (covers).
