As a suprise my wife and 3 year old daughter detailed the interior on my Exp last night. Well, my wife had taken my son and daughter to Chucky Cheese the day before, where my daughter had been given five dollars in quarters to play games. That is relavant because my wife says that as they were detailing my Exp my daughter took all of the quarters in my change slot in the center console and proceeded to feed them into the passenger's side center AC vent (the one imediately to the right of the radio) just like she did while playing video games at Chucky Cheese. The wife actually thought it was cute until I told her that I didn't have the slightest idea how to remove the coins. Well, this morning on the way to work I could hear several quarters sliding back and forth in the AV ducts. They are in the duct work right below the radio in the center of the truck. I pulled the panel around the radio that houses the two center AC vents and reached down into the two AC ducts but could not feel the coins, however, from the sound of it, it appears as if the coins are staying between those two vents. This will drive me absolutely crazy before long.
Does anyone know how the duct work runs behind the dash, and how I might go about getting those coins out?
Did you try turning the dial to heat so that the vent to the floor would open and perhaps allow the coins to fall out? You might have to drive like that and allow the coins to slide around to get them all.
