rear door won't lock

I'm having trouble with my rear door. At first when using the power door unlock button, the door wouldn't unlock with the first try, all other doors would. Now the door cannot be locked with the power door button and I cannot even lock it manually with the key. Is the actual locking mechanism broken? Can I fix it myself?

Yes , do a search in here and you will find a lot of info on it. The termister goes out in the actuator.

I had the same problem. All i did to fix mine was to remove the plastic covers and spray the lock with a silicon lube. i had the manually move it up and down a few times that was last year no problems since.

If it is the actual mechanism you can probably spray it with penetrating oil and work it free. The actuators sit there and wiggle before they totally quit.
