going from power assist to manual steering?

Both of my bumpsides have power assist steering,PO's had added it in the case of the parts truck, and the one that i drive is a later model(fairly certain its a 1975)chassis. the driver works fine, but the parts truck only has assist to the right.....it had a bunch of stuff replaced, new pump, most of the lines.....Can i remove the various P/s parts, and then drive this thing with strictly manual steering,or will it be problematic.......as is typical for these systems, the driver, while it works fine does leak a little,so i would like to have the extra p/s parts to use as spares..........what needs to be removed to go full manual?

Even though its in my signature,i should have clarified that these are both F250 4x4 models, with the power assist rather than the 2wd or later 4x4 integral power steering models
