Best way to drop the rear of a dually ?

My 99 F350 CC DRW seems to sit awfully high. I'm wondering if there is a good way to drop it down 2 to 4 inches ? It reminds me of an old hot rod where the rear end was way up high with some fat tires on the back, and some skinny tires up front.

Is it a 2wd or a 4x4? If it's a 4wd, then you can just remove the 2" lift blocks in the rear to level it out. But then it would be as low as a 2wd.

Front end sag is pretty common on these pickups with 2 or 4wd. Most people would opt to raise or "level" the front end to compensate for it instead of lowering the rear.

It's a 2wd. If I raised the front to level it out I would need a ladder to get in !!

In that case you've have to do a spring hanger reversal kit where the springs would be under the axle. Or put it on air bags. but either way, you'll lose payload.

Do you not have running boards? I thought they were pretty easy to get in and out of a 2wd.

If you don't have any running boards, I've got a factory set of the molded black ones. Where do you live?

It had some hideous diamond plate running boards on it when I bought it, they came off 5 minutes after I got it home. I have been looking for some stock ones, but no luck yet. I live in Cali.

What size rear blocks do you have now? If 2" you can just take them out, if you have 4" and need 2", let me know as I have some!

About 4000 pounds should take care of it.

The ones I have are stockers. Have the brackets but no bolts, but they aren't hard to get. I could wrap them up and send 'em your way if you wanted to work something out.

Being a 2wd, he shouldn't have any blocks in the back.

I guess I need to check for blocks. If I have them, can I take them out without any issues ?
