Hello, and Hello!

I am new here! I don't have much spare time so right up front, I won't be checking in every day... The site looks great for my interests. I am working on my Grandaddy's 42 Pickup. Been in the family since he bought it new!

I am looking for two items that you guys might help me with; -a radiator Splash pan/apron and a PPG paint code for the creme coloured trim used on the '42 trucks. I am breaking it down, as Johnny Cash said, 'one piece at a time', painting it and setting it aside for reassembly.

'SwampStomper' because I am a retired (45 yrs.) Land Surveyor!

Kids call me CM. I haven't figured if it means 'Cool Man' or 'Crazy Man'!

42-45 are not availible due to WWII and any truck that made it to civilian life was either grey, olive green or maybe one of the 41 colors.

As for the splash pan, check Ebay, I have seen some one before. But if I reemeber correctly, there is a difference between the V8 and V6 versions due to placement of the radiator for those. But if you find the bigger of the two, and your good with metal, you should be able to cut it down.

Oh and welcome to the site.

Post some pics when you can.
